Bookbinding and Content Design for “Song Selection & Typeface Rationale”
In this project, I combined the chosen song with the Bodoni typeface to create a visually cohesive and expressive book. The process involved an in-depth essay explaining the song choice, reflecting on personal connections and memories, and rationalizing the selected typeface to represent the song’s essence. The essay, set in the chosen typeface’s regular weight, was incorporated into a Songbook that features a series of cover designs and expressive typography assignments.

This assignment adds considerations of time and movement to the design, which allows me to explore how changes to scale, composition, color and type weight animated through movement over time affect spaces and meanings. Think about how movement and scale can represent sound.
